South Greenville firefighters launch their raft into the Reedy River Saturday night (July 8) for a water rescue. A person was stranded on a sand bar at Cedar Falls Park in Fork Shoals. Cane Brake and Fountain Inn firefighters along with the Greenville County Emergency Response Team responded. The sheriffs office drone team and K-9 unit also assisted. Prisma Health QRV and ambulance also was on scene. The victim was removed and placed in the care of EMS after about two hours.
