Water Rescue – Fork Shoals

South Greenville firefighters launch their raft into the Reedy River Saturday night (July 8) for a water rescue. A person was stranded on a sand bar at Cedar Falls Park in Fork Shoals. Cane Brake and Fountain Inn firefighters along with the Greenville County Emergency Response Team responded. The sheriffs office drone team and K-9 unit also assisted. Prisma Health QRV and ambulance also was on scene. The victim was removed and placed in the care of EMS after about two hours. Ironically South Greenville firefighters conducted swift water rescue training in the Saluda River. (Photo by David Rogers)
