The Piedmont Historical Preservation Society is hosting a “History Fair” from 2 pm to 4 pm September 24 at the Piedmont Community Building.
The purpose of this event is for people within the history fields: authors, historians, students and other history professionals, to present to the public their historical work, projects, books or research. This is a great opportunity for everyone to learn a little bit more about our community.
Presenters will include Anderson County Library, cemetery preservation groups, local authors, metal detecting enthusiasts, and many more.
It is free and open to anyone who wants the opportunity to present their work whether amateur, professional, or new to the field. This is also a great opportunity for those who would like some practice in presenting their work.
“Let us know if you are interested or know of others who would like to participate, including students who would like to take part in this event,” a spokesperson said.
Contact Charlene Spelts for more information and to sign up as a participant. (864) 350-1080 or cspelts@outlook.com.
“Make your plans to join us in Piedmont for a fun afternoon of learning more about our area and sharing your interests and talents!”
The Piedmont Community Building is located at 3 Main Street in downtown Piedmont.
