Deadline for delinquent property taxes payments is Oct. 27 – To avoid tax sale

Anderson County property owners who have past due or unpaid taxes on their property, have until 5 pm, Friday, October 27 to pay the delinquent taxes on their property. After that it will be sold at public auction to the highest bidder.
The Anderson County Delinquent Property Tax Sale will be held 9 am Monday, October 30, at the Civic Center of Anderson, 3027 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
On the day of the tax sale, no delinquent tax payments will be accepted at the sale, at the treasurer’s office or by online payment. (Defaulting taxpayers will have the opportunity to redeem items beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, November20 at the Anderson County treasurer’s office at 401 River St.)
Properties throughout the county, including the municipalities, with delinquent 2022 tax payments, (and older), are being advertised Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25 in The Journal, Belton Honea Path News Chronicle and Anderson Independent. The listings will not be available from the Anderson County Treasurer’s office.
Information regarding items to be auctioned at the 2023 tax sale will be available Friday, October 6, 2023 on the County website at: www.andersoncountysc.org , click the Tax Sale 2023 link.
