Whitefield firefighters work at the scene of a three vehicle wreck Saturday afternoon. A car collided with a tractor/low boy trailer and a work truck at the intersection of Highway 29 and Cheddar Road. One person in the car was transported by Medshore to the hospital. A QRV also responded. A Williamston police officer on his way to work was one of the first on the scene and assisted several small children that were in the car until a relative arrived.
