Anderson County Deputies work at the scene after a suspect’s car crashed into another car during a pursuit. Georgia authorities were pursuing a car Saturday morning on I-85 and terminated the pursuit as they reached the South Carolina border. Anderson County deputies spotted the vehicle in Anderson County and attempted to stop it. The driver kept going. The suspect was attempting to get off at the Highway 8 exit when he crashed into a car on the exit ramp. He then got out of his vehicle and fled on foot. The sheriff’s office helicopter and K-9 unit responded and began a ground and air search. Medshore and Piercetown firefighters also responded. At last word the suspect was still at large.
