The Town of West Pelzer, Town of Pelzer, Town of Pendleton, City of Belton, Town of Honea Path, Town of Iva, and the Anderson County School Dist. 4 Bond Referendum were held on Tuesday.
In Pelzer, incumbent councilman Eddie Waits and newcomer Cruz West were running for the two open seats on Pelzer Town Council. A total of 121 votes were cast with Waits receiving 45 votes or 37.19 percent of the total. West received 35 votes with 28.93 percent. There were 41 write-in votes cast.
In West Pelzer James (Jim) Riddle, Sr. received 65 votes or 81.25 percent of the 80 votes cast. Incumbent councilman Tom Scarfo received 57 votes (44.19 percent) and Tim Williams received 48 votes (37.21 percent) of 129 votes cast for the two open seats on Town Council. There were 24 write-in votes cast.
Candidates in Pelzer and West Pelzer were un-opposed other than possible write-ins.
