A U-Haul box truck struck the railroad trestle over Gossett Drive Friday around noon. Williamston firefighters responded along with Medshore, a QRV, and Williamston police officers. The driver was taken to an area hospital. The truck struck a warning bollard hanging over the roadway shattering it before striking the trestle and getting wedged underneath it.
