Quick action by Wren and Piedmont firefighters kept a grass and woods fire from spreading to a nearby mobile home Saturday afternoon. A pickup truck, motorcycle, and outbuildings were threatened when the fire burned all the way up to them but was quickly extinguished before they were damaged. It happened on Old River Road.
