Personnel with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will soon be working in the area of SC Highway 88 and Mountain View Road in preparation for a future highway project.
SCDOT workers will be conducting topographic surveys, subsurface exploration, environmental related studies and gathering other data necessary for the planning, development of location alternatives, design, property acquisition and construction of the project.
Surveys will be conducted on approximately 1000 feet east and west from the intersection of S-567 (Mountain View Road) and SC 88 (Old Greenville Highway), and approximately 1000 feet south from the intersection of SC 88 and S-567 (Mountain View Road), located west of Piedmont.
