Early Voting begins May 28 – For June 11 Primary

Early Voting for June 11 Statewide Primary will be held May 28 – June 7 at the Anderson County Election office, 301 N Main Street in Anderson and the Powdersville Branch Library, 4 Civic Court in Powdersville.

Hours for early voting are 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.

There will likely be a June 25th Runoff election with Early Voting being held June 19 – June 21at the same locations.

Absentee voting BY MAIL is also still being conducted. If you need an Absentee ballot BY MAIL, contact the Anderson County Electon Office at 864-260-4035 or visit: www.scvotes.gov.

The Anderson County Board of Elections is still looking for workers to help with early voting for the Primary. “Our goal is to hire and train workers to conduct Early Voting AND be available to work at our County Election office on Election Day” a spokesperson said.

Election workers will be responsible for setting up polling stations, checking voter IDs, issuing ballots, and assisting voters as needed. Training will be provided to all election workers. Workers will be paid for training and election day work.
To work, one must be a registered voter in Anderson County or adjoining county and/or aged 16 or 17.
