Man enters Powdersville home

Anderson County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking for assistance in identifying a male subject who attempted and then suceeded in entering a home in the Powdersville area, with unknown intentions, while a female victim was inside.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary August 14 at 310 Ragsdale Rd., Greenville. The victim was home alone during the incident and reported the subject knocked on and attempted to open several doors until he found one that was open.

As the subject opened the door, the victim yelled, and the subject closed the door. He opened the door again, and the victim continued to scream. The subject closed the door then opened the door a third time and took several steps inside the residence. The subject then observed that the victim had armed herself with a knife, and he left the residence on foot.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 19 years of age, just over 6 feet tall, 140 lbs. with dark hair. He was wearing a light blue shirt with blue and white long plaid shorts.
