Robert Lee Higgins, 49, of Holland Ford Road, Pelzer died Sunday, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle collision in the area of 504 Traynham Rd., Honea Path on July 24. According to the SC Hwy. Patrol, the motorcycle that Higgins was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. Higgins was airlifted by MEDTRANS to the emergency department at the Greenville Memorial Hospital where he remained a patient at the hospital until his death. The cause of death was blunt force trauma of head. The incident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
