West Pelzer to host National Night Out event tonight


The Town of West Pelzer will host a National Night Out for families and residents of all ages this evening (Aug.6) following the Town Council meeting. Observed on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. It will include inflatables, food and interaction with fire and police departments. The event will follow the council meeting which will include the opening of a new art exhibit in the Grand Gallery.
The National Night Out event will be held Aug. 6 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Chapman Park. It is sponsored by the West Pelzer Crime Watch and local businesses.
