Argument results in charges – toll booth incident

On August 8th at approximately 10:40 p.m. the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the Southern Connector Toll Booth regarding a male chasing a female on foot. The caller stated a black truck pulled up to the booth and a female got out of the truck and started running. A male got out of the same truck and began chasing the female. The male was able to catch the female and forced her back into the truck and they drove away. The entire incident was captured on the Toll Booth security system.

Through the course of the investigation it was determined that the male and female were boyfriend and girlfriend and while traveling on the Southern Connector were arguing. Once they arrived at the Toll Booth the female ran from the vehicle and the male subject, identified as Steven Dale White, ran after her and forced her back in the truck. Deputies obtained arrest warrants for Steven Dale White for Criminal Domestic Violence 1st Offense and Kidnapping. White was arrested for the outstanding warrants on Friday August 9th. White is currently being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on a $35,242 bond.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the female was located safe and did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
