The Pig in the Park Barbecue Festival and Cook-Off will be held in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park this weekend, May 16 and 17. The event is sponsored by the Williamton Masonic Lodge and is celebrating its fourth year. According to organizers, cooking teams from all over SC are registered for the cookoff.
The activities begin on Friday with barbecue and food, craft vendors and a children’s play area from 12 noon until 9 p.m. There will be live music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Coyote Moon singing then and now Country music.
On Saturday activities will run from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Beginning at Noon on Saturday, the Williamston Masonic Lodge will be selling wrist bands for all-you-can-eat samples of competitors barbecue for $10.
Presentation of Barbecue championship awards will be at 2:30 p.m..
There will be live music from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the Original Out of Towners.
