Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery which occurred in Powdersville Thursday afternoon. According to reports, the Pinnacle Bank on Anderson Road in Powdersville was robbed at gunpoint just after 4:15 p.m. A masked man walked into the bank with a handgun and demanded money according to Lt. Sheila Cole of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
No one was injured in the robbery and unknown how much cash the robber left with. Investigators were trying to determine if the bank robber acted alone or had an accomplice pick him up. Deputies are looking for a white SUV suspected to be involved in the robbery.
