Local shoppers have a few more days to be eligible for a Bobber Ticket for the “Bobbers on Big Creek Race” event this Saturday, July 1. The event, sponsored by Envision Williamston and the Palmetto Business Association (PBA), is being held in conjunction with the Williamston Freedom Celebration and will include Visa Gift Cards for Cash as top prizes and many additional prizes for other winners.
When visiting participating PBA members businesses this week, shoppers can receive a ticket (while supplies last) to trade for a “Bobber” for the race. Persons with “Bobber Tickets” can bring them to the Envision Williamston/PBA table on Saturday to receive their Bobbers and get registered for the race.
Registration for the “Bobber Race” will begin at 12 noon at the West Main Bridge over Big Creek in Mineral Spring Park.
The “Bobber Race” will begin at 2 pm at the Main Street Bridge and end at the Veterans Park.
You must be present to win, organizers said.
“Come and enjoy the race with hundreds of bobbers down the Big Creek and hang around for games, music and fireworks,” Envision Williamston Executive Director Roberta Hamby said.
Envision Williamston will also have fun “Freedom Games” in Mineral Spring Park.
