Two seats open on Pelzer Town Council – Filing opens August 9

Filing opens at noon August 9 and will close noon August 23 for candidates interested in running for two seats on Pelzer Town Council.
Filing will be at the Pelzer Town office at 103 Courtney Street during regular business hours of 8 am to 5 pm weekdays. The office is closed 12-1 pm.
This is a nonpartisan election and no party affiliation will be placed on the ballot.
The Statement of Intention of Candidacy – Non partisan form is required for filing and is available in the “Candidate Information” section of scVOTES.org and at the Town Hall.
Filing fees are paid at the time of filing by candidates seeking to run. Filing fee checks should be made payable to the Town of Pelzer. The filing fee for Council is $25.
Candidates are required to file a Statement of Economic Interests and a Campaign Disclosure online with the State Ethics Commission at http://ethics.sc.gov.

The municipal election will be held Tuesday, November 7 in conjunction with the general election.
Any person wishing to register to vote in this election must do so no later than October 6, 2023.
