Milford Dixon, Janice “Lil Bit” Reece, Nancy Williams, Roger “Peanut” Miller, Thomas Hasley, Lorraine Henderson

Lorraine Henderson

Lorraine Ann Dalton Henderson of Belton, 87, widow of Charles Eugene Henderson, Sr., passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Annette Dalbec Dalton.  She retired from Gerber and was formerly employed with Bargain Food Store.  She was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church.

   Survivors include sons, Charles Henderson, Jr. and Thomas Henderson, both of Belton, John Henderson of Greenville; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 The family received August 4,at Bessie Road Baptist Church with the funeral service following at the church.  Burial was at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

Thomas Hasley

Thomas Michael Hasley of Belton, 38, husband of Crystal Maria Lynn Chandler Hasley, was born March 29, 1985, in Ft. Myers, FL to Cynthia Dawn Shockley Hasley and the late John Peter Hasley, Jr. He passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023.

In addition to his wife of the home and his mother of Dade City, FL; he is survived by step-father, Stuart Stubbins of FL; son, Thomas Michael Hasley, Jr. of Pelzer; step-son, Lucas Braiden Forte of ND; brother, John Peter Hasley, III of ND; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 10, at the home of Tabatha Allen, 14 Diane Ave., Pelzer from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Roger “Peanut” Miller

Williamston – Roger O’Dell “Peanut” Miller, 54, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023, at his home.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of Bobbie Jean Chapman Miller Moulder and the late Roger Dale Miller.  He was formerly employed with Buchanan’s Hood and Maintenance and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Piedmont.

 In addition to his mother of Piedmont, he is survived by son, Sgt. Roger Dale Miller (Amber) of Piedmont; daughter, Brittney Nicole Miller (Maycio) of Piedmont; girlfriend, Mary Ann Bible of the home; brother, James Ernest Miller of Piedmont; sister, Sheila Lynn Payne (Albert) of Piedmont; grandchildren, Kylie, Brayden, Jase, Hunter, Sadie, Mekhi, and Khaleesi; and loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. Friday, August 11, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following at 11:30 a.m. in the mortuary chapel.  Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Nancy Williams

Nancy Joyce Spain Williams of Piedmont, 73, wife of George Daniel Williams, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Born in High Point, NC, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Robert and Della Elizabeth Scarce Spain. She attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Easley.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Melissa Spence of Easley, Angie Allen of Piedmont, and Dana Stone of Fountain Inn; brothers, Ronald Spain of Taylors and Richard Spain of Fountain Inn; six grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Visitation was August 8, at Gray Mortuary. The funeral followed in the mortuary chapel, with burial at Graceland Cemetery West.

Janice “Lil Bit” Reece

Janice Juanita “Lil Bit” Shelton Reece of Williamston, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Born in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late George Daniel Shelton and Yvonne Beatrice Billings Gammons.   She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her “spouse” Michael Larry “Mikey” Edens of the home; daughter, Candice Reece of Williamston; and son “Dusty” Reece of Easley; sisters, Patti McCaig, Peggy McCarson, Lois Luttrell, and Annette “Weasel” Cowart, all of Travelers Rest; sister-in-law, Diane Shelton of Travelers Rest; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, .

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Milford Dixon

Anderson – Milford Dixon, 81, husband of Lila Grace Culbertson Dixon, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023.

   Born in Kingsport, TN, he was a son of the late James Milford and Mossie Gertrude Ramsey Dixon. He retired from BP Amoco and was a member of Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

   In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by sisters, Mildred Whitmer of Kingsport, TN and Faye Spearman of Simpsonville.

   He was predeceased by brother, William “Bill” Perry Dixon; and sisters, Mary Ellen Haga and Christine Larkin.

   The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 11, at Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith with visitation following the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

   Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bethel Church of God of the Abrahamic, P.O. Box 367, Pelzer, SC 29669.
