Anderson County Legislative Delegation approves PARD funding and board appointments

The Anderson County Legislative Delegation recently approved the following requests for PARD funding for December: Anderson County $12,000 for disc golf course at Dolly Cooper Park in Powdersville; Pelzer $35,360 for new HVAC for the Pelzer Gym; Iva $12,500 for Elsie Evans park improvements; Honea Path $12,500 for LED ballfield lighting; Belton $30,000 for Terry Martin Field pickleball court.
The Delegation approved the following board appointments and reappointments:
The reappointments of Chris Sullivan and Michelle Ricketson to the AC Disabilities & Special Needs Board,
The appointment of Teresa “Teri” Gilstrap to the Anderson-Oconee-Pickens Mental Health Center Board.
The reappointment of Mary Ann Mills to the Pendleton District Historical, Recreational & Tourism Commission.
The appointment of Randy Jones to the AC Department of Social Services Board.
The reappointment of Jason Brown to the Big Creek Water & Sewerage District Board.
The reappointments of Matthew Eller and J.T. Tingen to Powdersville Water District Board.
The reappointments of Edgar Scott, Jackie Blakley and Ken Hancock to Sandy Springs Water District Board.
The reappointments of James Herron, Jr. and John Hawkins to the Starr-Iva Water District Board.
The reappointments of Philip Anderson, Mac McGee and Kenneth Richey to the West Anderson Water District Board.
The reappointments of Ronald Townsend, Coach Dickie Smith, Jim Simpson and Charles Wham to the AC Transportation Committee.
The Anderson County Legislative Delegation Office consists of two South Carolina Senators, six members of the South Carolina House of Representatives and one Administrative Assistant.
