Piedmont firefighters work at the scene of a fire Wednesday on Barbara Drive. When firefighters arrived smoke was coming from the front of the structure. Firefighters quickly entered the structure, quickly found the fire, and extinguished it. One occupant of the home was transported to the hospital by Medshore ambulance service.
