Whitefield firefighters work at the scene of a multi-vehicle wreck Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 29 and Welcome Road. A tractor trailer struck a cargo trailer that was in tow and pushed it into the back of the truck that was towing it and the trailer overturned and burst open, spilling its contents. The tractor trailer then struck a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. No one was injured. Medshore, two QRV’s and state troopers also responded.
