The Powdersville Community Church building was destroyed by fire Monday. When firefighters arrived flames were coming through the roof. Piedmont, South Greenville, and Gantt firefighters fought the blaze on South Piedmont Highway 20. Greenville County EMS stood by as a precaution. South Piedmont Highway was closed while firefighters fought the fire.
