Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested and charged a foreign national with Kidnapping and Criminal Sexual Conduct – Third Degree.
Jaeyeong Yoo, 23, was charged on Sunday, February 25, in connection with an incident in which a female student was held against her will and assaulted on the Presbyterian College Campus in Clinton. According to warrants, Yoo held the victim by the arm to keep her from leaving a residence hall and then sexually assaulted her. The SLED investigation was requested by the Presbyterian College Campus Police Department. Yoo was booked at the Laurens County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 8th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
