Whitefield and West Pelzer firefighters performed a lengthy extrication after a single car wreck early Sunday morning. It happened near the intersection of Highway 29 and McAlister Road. There were four occupants in the car when it struck a tree. One person had to be cut from the wreckage. Medshore transported the injured to the hospital. QRV paramedics also assisted with patient care.
