Belton police responded to Pelzer Street after multiple 911 calls were placed from that location Sunday afternoon. Once they arrived the occupant would not come out or make contact with officers. Anderson county deputies also responded. A stand off began. Smoke was coming from the house and Belton, Cheddar, Friendship, and Rock Springs firefighters staged in the area until the situation was made safe. Two hours later deputies entered the home and brought the suspect out. Medshore and 2 QRV’s also stood by as a precaution.
