BONNARD ROACHE
WILLIAMSTON – Bonnard Ernest Roache, 80, of 1855 Anderson Highway, husband of Linda Faye Locke Roache, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at his home.
Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Ernest Augustus and Lillie Mae Galloway Roache.  A U.S. Army veteran, he was a graduate of Pelzer High School and Newberry College.  He taught school in Belton and Anderson, SC and at Palmetto High School.  Mr. Roache was the former owner of Roache Insurance Agency, Roache Builders and Williamston Construction in Williamston, SC, and the present owner of the H&R Blocks in Williamston, Belton, Piedmont, Fountain Inn and Woodruff.  He was a member of the Advisory Board of First Citizens Bank in Williamston, a charter member of the Williamston Jaycees and was instrumental in organizing the Williamston Christmas Park and the Miss Pelzer-Williamston Pageant.  He attended Washington Baptist Church and Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Bonnie Meeks (Jimmy), of Belton; sons, John Roache (Traci), of Pelzer, Bryan Durham and Eddie Durham (Linda), both of Williamston; sisters, Bobbie Jean Kellett (Franklin), of Oak Island, NC, and Jackie Chapman (Bob), of Pelzer; brothers, Raymond Roache (Jean) and Charles Roache (Linda), both of Williamston; brother-in-law, Joe Rogers, of Anderson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jim Davis, of Williamston; grandchildren, Brooke, Kirsten and Macy Meeks, Tyler and Parker Buchanan, Brett, Seth and Cooper Roache, Hilary Durham Rice, Marshall Durham and Beth Vaughn; great-granddaughter, Alexandra Rice; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Maxine Rogers.
Visitation was 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Culbertson, the Rev. Bill Ellison, and Mr. Dale Harper officiating. Entombment followed at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family is at the residence.
