GRADY McCLELLION
Charles Grady McClellion, 94, formerly of Pelzer, widower of Agnes Eva Sullivan McClellion, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Hosanna Health and Rehab in Piedmont.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Clara Bryant McClellion.  He was retired from the Kendall Co.  He was a Baptist.
Surviving are daughters, B. Elaine Gates of the home, Diane Davis of Pelzer; son, Earl McClellion of Pelzer; 16 grandchildren; a number of great and great great grandchildren; sister, Lillie Ellen Ramsey of Anderson.
The funeral service was held Saturday in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

PRISCILLA S. CHASTAIN
Priscilla Smith Chastain, 88, widow of Quentin Roosevelt Chastain, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
She was born in Rosman, NC, a daughter of the late Enos M. and Ola Hunter Smith.
She retired from Kmart and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, June Tuck of Piedmont; two sons, Gary Chastain of Ovilla, TX and Roger Chastain of Reidville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Cecil Smith; and sister, Rachel Bagwell, all of Pickens.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, Feb. 4 in the funeral home chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

STANLEY ‘DALE’ AMBROSE
Stanley “Dale” Ambrose, 57, widower of Patsy Johnson Ambrose, of Belton, did Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson County, he was the son of Elsie Taylor Ambrose of Anderson and the late Herman Leon Ambrose.
He was a member of Cross Hill Church of God and a U.S. veteran of the National Guard.
Surviving in addition to his mother are: brothers, Douglas Ambrose, Wendell Ambrose, Danny Ambrose, all of Belton; sisters, Ethel Strickland of Anderson, Becky Oyler of Williamston, Diane Call of Belton; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday at Cross Hill Church of God. Burial followed at Garden of Memories.

ELOISE CLINKSCALES
Mrs. Eloise Clinkscales, 82, of Belton, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Belton, she was the daughter of the late Lalanda and Ethel Madden Cooley.
Surviving are daughters, Valerie Joyce Clinkscales of Greenville and Sharon Clinkscales Canada of Piedmont; sons, Leonard Clinkscales, Jr. and Darrell Clinkscales, both of Greenville; brother, Lalanda Clinkscales of Ohio.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

HELEN BLACK DAVIS
Helen Black Davis, 92, widow of William Henry Davis, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
Born in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late John Christopher and Hattie Payne Black.
She retired from Package Supply and Equipment Company. She was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Jenkins of Greenville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Morgan Bromfield of Anderson; and brother, William Randolph Black of Piedmont.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 1 at Mountain Springs Baptist Church, Piedmont.

PEGGY B. WILSON
Peggy Joanne Bridwell Wilson, 78, died January 29, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Merzie Smith Bridwell.
She retired from Carolina Fashion and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Luther (Bud) Wilson of the home; daughter, Kimberly Shennan of Taylors; four brothers, Randy Bridwell of Greenville, Larry Bridwell of Greer, Wayne Bridwell of Taylors, and Billy Bridwell of Piedmont; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday at Peoples Baptist Church. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

KIMBERLY DAVIS WAGNER
Kimberly Davis Wagner, 51, of Pelzer, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
She was the daughter of James Franklin and Vera Crowe Davis.
She was employed at Hartness International.
She is survived by  her son, Michael James Wagner; sister, Pamela Hardison; and brother, Jim Davis.
Funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 3 in the Northwest Chapel of McAfee Funeral Home.

WILLIAM A. ‘PETE’ LOOPER
William A. “Pete” Looper, age 71, passed away at his home on January 12, 2014. He lost his long battle with cancer.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Edie; daughters, Tara and Pamela; son, William and wife Zana.
He had five grandchildren and one sister.
He served in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran. A memorial service was held at Bessie Road Baptist Church in Piedmont with Pastor Robert Griswold officiating.

JAMES CHESTER McWHITE
James Chester McWhite, 88, of Piedmont, died Saturday, February 1, 2014.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late John and Beaulah McWhite. He was a member of West Gantt Baptist Church.
He is survived by a brother, Bill McWhite; two sisters, Katherine Bayne, and Marselle Hall.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Morgan McWhite.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

DAVID W. ALEXANDER
David W. “Buzzard” Alexander, 64, of Liberty, died February 1, 2014.
Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Edgar Lee and Mildred Hudson Alexander.
He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and owned a lawn care business.
Surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Faye A. Hudson, Diane Looper, Gary Alexander, and Terry Alexander.
Services were held Wednesday at Oak Grove Baptist Church.

JANE DENESE PATTERSON
GREENVILLE – Jane Denese Patterson, 62, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital-Downtown.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Charles William and Ruth Davis Patterson, Jane was former manager of Just One More Sports Bar and Grill.
Surviving are a son, Johnny Martin Stone of Easley; two daughters, Lora Denese Stone of Largo, FL, and Dell Turner (Randy) of Greenville; three brothers; one sister, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Friday, February 7, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
