West Pelzer Police Officers have recently investigated the following incidents:
Mar. 14 – Morissa Queen Geib, 41, was arrested for driving under suspension after a tan or gold colored Honda Accord was observed backing onto Dendy Street from a residence. The vehicle tag appeared to be missing the validation sticker. According to reports, EMS was called at Geib’s request because she stated she felt like she was going to pass out. She refused treatment and transport after multiple offers from EMS. She was then transported to ACDC without incident and the vehicle was towed.
Mar. 10 – While on patrol, West Pelzer Police Chief Scott Stoller observed a growing and significant amount of trash, food, broken furniture, old tires and other piles of junk in the front yard and porch of a residence at 11 Drake Street. According to reports, the situation has been ongoing for over one year and the owner has been warned. More recently a Pontiac Minivan on a jack and full of trash and other items has also added to the problem. A remedy notice was posted on the front door.
Mar. 4 – Marie Lynette Stone, 33, was arrested for outstanding warrant in Greenville County after a vehicle was stopped in reference to passing cars on double white line on Main Street. Sgt. D. Vickery. Stone was a passenger in the vehicle. According to reports, the warrant was for failure to appear on a drug charge. Stone was transported to Hwy. 153 where custody exchanged with Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Feb. 27 – Sgt. D. Vickery was dispatched to Dollar General, 8 Main St. in reference to a suspicious person where he made contact with Debra Rainey, who was sitting on the curb outside the store. Rainey, who was on trespass notice for the store, was arrested and transported to ACDC.
Feb. 26 – West Pelzer Police Chief Scott Stoller received a call from a resident of Midway Manor Apartments in reference to continued harassment by another resident of the apartments. According to the report, the subject has made numerous calls to law enforcement to report false noise and child welfare complaints and made disparaging remarks to others in the complex about the complainant and family. The report states a pattern of harassment and continued false claims and “exaggerated complaints” are placing a strain on law enforcement resources.
