Williamston police investigated the following incidents:
March 6 – Kay Connelly, 1005 Keys Dr., Williamston reported a square opal ring with small diamonds valued at $2,200, an onyx ring valued at $40 and a white gold diamond necklace valued at $125 were missing from her bedroom. She also reported that a male named Casey Carlson came to her home in November to put in a humidifier. He returned in March for a walk through check to make sure the system was working and that there would be a $200 charge. The items were discovered missing after the walk through took place.
On Mar. 7 – According to reports, officers discovered some of the jewelry in the previous report had been pawned by Carlson at a local pawn shop. Carlson was contacted by the investigating officer and stated he knew what the investigation was about and that he made a dumb mistake. On Mar. 8, a warrant was issued for Casey Carlson, 36, 1391 Pine Log Ford Rd., Taylors in regards to the incident reported by Kay Connelly on Mar. 6
Mar. 5 – Joshua Michael Hilley, 35, 100 Heritage Riverwood Dr., Central was issued a summons for driving under suspension after a red 2019 Nissan pickup truck was observed traveling 46 mph in a 35 mph zone on N. Hamilton St. Suspension was due to property tax not being paid. He was issued a warning for speeding. R. Pagan was reporting officer.
Mar. 4 – Pauleisha Danielle Davis, 28, 110 Gossett Dr,. #C3, Williamston was issued a summons for no prooof of insurance after a 2018 Hyundai Sonata was observed disregarding a stop sign at Minor St. and ida Tucker Road. Reserve office S. McLaurin was reporting officer.
Mar. 1 – Officer M. B. Jackson was dispatched to Williams St., and Cleveland St. in reference to a downed power line. According to reports, while attempting to avoid another vehicle, a Milliken tractor trailer struck a tree branch causing a power line to be damaged. Damage to the power line was estimated at $1200.
Mar. 1 – Williamston Police Officers and two Secretary of State Investigators executed a search warrrant in Williamston after being notified by Laurens City Police that a subject indentified as Thomas Durrell Adams, 38, who listed his address as 343 E. Carolina St. Williamston, had been arrested. According to reports, Adams was arrested for CSC and an inventory of his vehicle discovered conterfeit items valued at $18,000. An investigator from Laurens Police Dept. told officers he believed additional counterfeit merchandise would be located inside the address. The information was presented to Judge Lollis who did issue a search warrant for the address, which was leased to Adams sister. A pair of Nike Air Force One shoes confirmed to be counterfeit were found inside the apartment along with two blue Nike hoodies later confirmed to be counterfeit. Also during the search, four burnt hand rolled cigars containing less than a gram of a green leafy substance and a set of digital scales with green residue were collected and placed into evidence. The hoodies and shoes were placed on an evidence sheet and then turned over to Laurens Police Investigator Gallo. Lt. L. B. Culbertson, E. J Thompson were reporting officers.
Feb. 26 – Christine M. Pruett, 30 Austin St. reported an auto break-in in which a shoulder wallet was taken from her vehicle which was parked in the driveway. Pruett stated she later received messages from her bank that someone had tried to use her debit and charge cards at Walmart $204.94), Lowes Anderson ($206.95),Lowes Anderson ($206.95) and Walmart Anderson ($105.95). The attempted purchases were declined. The incident remains under investigation. M. B. Jackson was reporting officer.
On Mar. 1 – Investigator L. B. Culbertson reported a purchase in the amount of $105.44 was made at Walmart along with a purchase for $37.65 for Walmart Gas on one of C. Pruett’s cards.
Mar. 2 – Investigator L. B. Culbertson reported Lowes Asset Protection had a video of an African American female, (face coverd with a mask) purchased two gift cards in the amounts listed in a previous report. The incident remains under investigation.
Feb. 18 – Officer R. Burgess responded to Fast Fuel, 207 West Main St. in reference to a gray Pontiac sitting idle at the gas pump for approximately one hour. Reports stated the driver was holding what looked to be a clear smoking pipe with a white crystal residue beliveved to be methamphetamine along with a lighter, a small amount of tin foil in her hand in plain view. The driver was identified as Brianna Lynn Schade. A male passenger identified as Derek Anthony King, was also detained.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found a small bag of a crystal like substance which field tested postive as methamphetamine and a small bag containing a pink like powder which field tested positive for Heroin. The clear substance weighted 5.4 grams. The pink substance weighed .5 grams.
Brianna Lynn Schade, 31, 108 Lee St., Carnegie, PA was arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of Herion. Derek Anthony King, 101 Paisley Dr,. Anderson was arrested for an active warrant with Anderson City Police. Schade and King were transported to ACDC and the vehicle was towed.
