Lydia Jackson

Lydia Mae Thompson Jackson, 96, of Williamston, wife of the late Darnell Jackson, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023.

   Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Julie Scott Thompson. She retired from Mount Vernon Mills and was a member of Williamston First Baptist Church.

Survivors include children, Delores Couch of Piedmont, Judy Ellison, Danny Jackson, and Ricky Jackson, all of Williamston, Terry Jackson of Belton, and Michael Jackson of Williamston; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Saturday, September 9 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Christine Garrison

 Margie Christine Holcombe Garrison,  of Williamston, 86, wife of the late Billy “Buck” Walter Garrison, Jr., passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Nellie Smith Holcombe. She retired from Delta Woodside Estes Plant.

She is survived by daughters, Glenda Perry of Piedmont and Tammy Evans of Anderson; son, Michael Garrison of Easley; sisters, Anne Holcombe of Easley and Della Robertson of Greenville; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Friday, September 15, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The service will follow at 2:00 pm in the mortuary chapel. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Gerry Warner

 Gerald Todd “Gerry” Warner, of Piedmont, 39, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023.

Born in Anchorage, AK, he was a son of Deborah Sue Welch “Debbie” Warner of the home and of the late John Joseph Warner. He was a residential landscaper with Greenland, Inc. and Warner’s Lawn Care.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by sisters, Amber Davis of the home and Leila Warner of Greenville; and brother, John Warner, Jr. (Glenda) of Laurens County.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
